Prince Rodger Nelson started in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1978. He is known for many songs such as “When Doves Cry” and “Purple Rain.” Prince combined many forms of music including funk, R&B, and Rock. His Second album released in 1979 “Prince” went platinum. He later formed another band down the road known as “Prince and the Revolution” who released “Purple Rain”. Prince passed away in 2016.
