Founding member of The Allman Brothers Band and drummer Claude “Butch” Trucks was found in his home on Tuesday, January 31. The police report says that Trucks’ wife witnessed the suicide. The cause of death appears to be a gunshot wound to the head, and a pistol was found in the house. Trucks was part of The Allman Brothers Band that was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1995. Trucks is survived by his wife, Melinda Trucks, 4 children and 4 grandchildren.
